The left side corresponds to the main menu. It allows to:
The right side displays the current and available bookings.
The not modifiable bookings, created by the administratior, are marked with a padlock.
The regular users are identified by their name and a color icon which indicates their taker type
(adult, junior, teacher etc.).
Courts totally or partially booked are shown Member's name
The upper part allows quick day navigation and provides an access to the synoptic view (By week).
In the example above, the administrator has defined Courts 1, 2 and 3 for
advanced booking starting at respectively on the hour,
at the quater passed and at the half hour.
With that configuration the following immediate bookings
are possible
(Court X):
Later during the day, the following advanced booking, all for a duration of 60 minutes, are possible (Court X):
In order to reserve or make an advanced booking, you have to click within the cell corresponding to the desired court and hour; for example Court 1 at 11h. You will be required to supply a user identification, and (maybe) a password. Password demand depends on the application configuration. Depending on the location and the access type (Internet, kiosk at the club, etc.) identification will be input via keyboard, card reader or some other identification device.
If the selected period is not dedicated for pre-reservation, the reservation will fall
within the first free period of the given court.
Within the example above, trying to reserve on the central
court at 11h, will result as a reservation at 10h30. Only special takers, with high
permission level, can make reservations at any time.
The booking, later this day remains possible as a pre-reservation, by choosing periods
that are colored light gray in our example.
The booking will be accepted or rejected depending on the court, the hour and the taker permissions.
To be validated, the reservation or the pre-reservation has to be confirmed.
Important remark concerning refreshing.
If the booking has not been confirmed, it will be automatically lost (suppressed) a couple of minutes after the start time of the period. The confirmed booking is flagged with an asterisk appended to the name. You confirm by clicking on your name shortly before the period begins, and supplying your identification (and maybe the password). The administrator defines the period of time since when you can confirm; usually it is about one hour.
Example (of confirmation time period):
Imagine that your administrator has set-up the following confirmation time periods:
before: 45 minutes
after: 10 minutesIf Martin and Smith have booked for 10h15, they can confirm from 9h30 on. If they do not do so before 10h26, their reservation will be lost, and the court will become available for someone else.
To cancel your booking you proceed the same way as to confirm: click on your name, and then supply your identification (and maybe your password).
Remark:
Within the confirmation period boundaries (shortly before the booked period starts), you will have to confirm before you can erase your booking.
Browser button "Refresh", sends the last query again to the server, which
means that if you refresh after booking, you will erase your booking!
By analogy, if you refresh after suppression you re-book!
Depending on the browser, refreshing can be called refresh or reload. This action can be triggered by the following short-cuts: F5 and Ctrl+R.
